Our standard corkage charge is £20 per bottle. You are welcome to bring a bottle or two of your own wine when you dine with us. Hopefully something special rather than a supermarket’s own brand! We have a great value wine list with lots of gems marked up to retail price so ensure you check it out first.

Each Wednesday (excluding December) we charge just £10 corkage on ANY size bottle of wine when you have lunch or dinner with us. So don’t just bring a bottle, bring a MAGNUM or JEROBOAM or if you can lift it a BALTHAZAR (and we’ll help you drink it!).

AN ISLAND WALK TO A GREAT PUB

Walk and pubs go hand in hand. On Mersea Island, you can do a number of differing walks from a quick stroll along the beach from Monkey Steps to a full circumnavigation of the island. For those intrepid enough, like Phoebe Taplin of The Guardian – HERE

BREAKFAST

Breakfast is served from 8.15am until 10.30am for residents and non-residents. We encourage bookings for non-residents Thursday to Sunday but will endeavour to seat walk ins.

We can’t believe we’ve made it onto such a prestigious list in our first 6 months of trading. It means a great deal to us all. Our team have worked so hard since June , coping with all the pressures that come with a new opening, learning everything from scratch, getting used to a brand new building and all the teething issues it brings.
